Mac OSX Yosemite Environment Variables

Add environment variables on Mac OSX Yosemite

1. Create and edit environment.plist

mkdir ~/.MacOSX
vi ~/.MacOSX/environment.plist

2. Add .plist base xml

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8">
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    </dict>
</plist>

3. Save and exit vi
4. Edit environment.plist with Property list editor (double click file)
5. Restart
